Also the bus from Grange can take you up over Honister Pass to Buttermere and Crummock Water, making lots of the North Lakes accessible without a car or the hassle of parking. Exclusively for guests STAYING at Mosedale End Farm, a chance to meet newborn lambs & their Mothers in the Lambing Shed.
A birth is always special, and late March & early April is when our 800 ewes have their babies and in May our fields will be full of ewe’s & lambs.

If there is a ewe is in labour and about to give birth we will inform you and you can come and watch the birth of a new lamb. So cameras and boots at the ready, just in case one is being born while you are staying with us Mosedale End Farm. We can`t guarantee you will see a birth, as Mother Nature works to her own time, but we can arrange a photo with an Orphan lamb.

Please DO NOT visit the lambing shed by yourselves as strangers can upset the pregnant ewes. If you want to see them PLEASE ASK. We are happy to show you the Lambing Shed & tell you all about lambing time.

Derwent Cottage is a contemporary town house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes walk from the shopping area and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater, Theatre by the Lake and the fells beyond. The stylish, fresh interior and central location provide an excellent base for your holiday.

The front door leads into a bright hallway with coat hooks, a shoe storage area and stairs up to the bedrooms. The kitchen is light and airy and has a good range of well-equipped units , kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and hob, extractor hood and slow cooker.

The lounge/diner has a contemporary feel, with new sofa and two armchairs, a round glass dining table and four chairs. There is a wall mounted Smart TV, DAB radio with Bluetooth facility and full wi-fi access. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and communal open gardens around Elm Court. There is a patio table and chairs for guests use. The grounds are often visited by the local ducks and pheasants from the nearby river bank.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, hand basin, heated towel rail, new laminate flooring.

Bedrooms consist of one dual aspect master bedroom with super king size bed. The views stretch over the River Greta and beyond to Portinscale and Skiddaw. There is a lovely oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside Units. The twin bedroom has a built in wardrobe and small vanity unit. Luggage stands are available in both bedrooms. All beds have duvets and towels are provided, along with a hair dryer.

Beautiful barn converted cottages set in grounds including woodland and our meadow, which we are re-wilding with a new pond and 3500 young native trees, designed to encourage wildlife, including badgers, foxes, red squirrels and many song birds. Ball play paddock, walking form the door, pet friendly cottages converted from our 19th century bank barn. (A bank barn is a traditional style built into the fell side to allow level access to the upper story)

Birchgate
Enjoy a spring retreat at Birchgate, a traditional Lakeland stone cottage tucked away in the centre of Keswick. The cottage has a warm cosy feeling to it and the real fireplace will keep you toasty on those cool spring nights alongside a chiminea outside so you can enjoy those lighter evenings. The cottage has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), and a family bathroom. With its close proximity to all the amenities and attractions Keswick has to offer, Birchgate is the perfect spring retreat.

Daisy Cottage
The beautiful, newly refurbished 18th century Daisy Cottage offers the perfect modern cosy space for your spring getaway. Just around the corner from the town centre with its own parking space, it would be easy to park up and leave your car for your entire stay as everything Keswick has to offer is at your doorstep! The cottage consists of an open plan ground floor with kitchen, dining room and living room.
