Formerly a touring-caravan park and campsite known as ‘North Lakes’, Darwin Escapes have completely redeveloped and rejuvenated the resort with world class lodges and facilities to complement the stunning scenery and views of Keswick.
Many of the lodges are dog-friendly and the premier range of accommodation all boast their own private hot tubs and decking area – allowing holidaymakers to make the most of the stunning scenery whatever the weather.
The resort features an extensive range of onsite facilities, including the Ammara Spa where a range of therapies and treatments are on offer. Darwin Escapes have teamed up with Aromatherapy Associates to provide a complete range of relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatments which can be tailored to address specific needs.
The Copper Fells restaurant is also onsite and offers the finest selections of beverages and locally sourced food available. If you’re in a rush, you can even pick up a Costa Coffee before you explore the surrounding area, or alternatively sit back and relax with a delicious Cumbrian cream tea with a baked scone.
The retreat even has its own air conditioned gym so that you always have the option to burn off the extra calories that you may have accumulated in the restaurant. If you prefer to relax however, there is also a Jacuzzi pool and panoramic sauna with views of the surrounding countryside. A perfect way to recover from a day exploring the hills and scenery that Keswick has to offer.
The luxury lodges all contain modern kitchens, open plan dining areas and a range of 21st century luxuries and entertainment features. The lodges are all double glazed with central heating, so you can be ensured a comfortable stay all year round.

Enter the postcode CA13 9SY and you should come straight to us.
Come off the M6 at junction 40 and join the A66 heading for Ullswater. Follow this road until it blends into the A591 heading towards Carlisle. Continue to follow the A591 into Bewaldeth until you see the sign post for Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat on the left hand side of the road.
