Thornthwaite is a quiet and peaceful village with no traffic noise even though it is just 1 mile from the A66 so very accessible.
Location
From Keswick, take the A66 in the direction of Workington. Pass turning to Portinscale and then take the 3rd turning left signed THORNTHWAITE VILLAGE 1 MILE. Stay on this road. Thornthwaite Grange is 1 mile down on the left (200 yards past a phone box and bus sheler).
