Birchgate is a lovely, traditional Lakeland stone cottage, tucked away from any passing traffic but still within a few minutes' stroll to Fitz Park, the town centre and Lake Derwentwater. The cottage has a warm and cosy feel with a real fireplace for snug winter evenings along with a chiminea outside for alfresco dining in the summer. Its own parking space completes this ideal holiday cottage.

As you enter the property you will be greeted by the well equipped fully fitted kitchen diner with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, microwave and electric oven and hob. A farmhouse table and chairs complete this traditionally decorated room. Under stair storage provides plenty of room for boots and coats etc. The lounge has a comfy two seater sofa and two easy chairs, LCD TV and an open fire perfect for those cosy nights in! Upstairs, the double bedroom has a king size bed and is beautifully furnished with cottage bedding and matching pine furniture - room for a cot if required. The charming twin bedroom has two single beds and pine furniture. The bathroom is traditional with w.c., wash basin, bath with shower over, airing cupboard and is fully tiled. Outside To the front is an enclosed garden, equipped with dining furniture and chiminea. Outdoor cushions and lantern are provided for your enjoyment. To the rear there is another small south facing garden with more dining furniture and private parking for one car. The cottage is situated in a very quiet row of cottages with no through traffic passing.Towels and bed linen and provided. Wi-fi is available at the cottage free of charge.

Daisy Cottage

This 18th Century, two bedroom beamed cottage is very comfortable and is just around the corner to the town centre, lake and parks, an ideal situation for those wanting to be close to all the local amenities. Situated in a small square just of Derwent Street, the cottage offers private, yet very central accommodation with the bonus of private parking. The ground floor is open plan and therefore feels very spacious. An established long term favorite, well worth a visit. Plenty of storage for bikes, boots, jackets etc.

The ground floor is all open plan and offers a wonderful space for holidays. The lounge area has a large three seater sofa and an easy chair. There is also a dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is very well equipped and has electric oven & hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, microwave etc. There is plenty of worktop space and is well lit. There are two very pretty bedrooms with beamed ceilings. The double bedroom has oak furniture with excellent quality linens. Next to the double room is a brand new bathroom with bath (with shower over) wash hand basin and WC. The second bedroom has two single beds. Off this room there is an en-suite shower room with large shower, wash hand basin and WC. Daisy Cottage is one of our longest letting cottages and is ideally situated just off the town centre streets, full of interest and well worth a visit, very much a home from home. To the front there is a block paved area with private parking for one car and an area to sit out where there is a bench and lovely potted plants. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, shoe racks and plenty hooks for coats. Bikes can be stored in this room. A bath towel and hand towel are provided per person.

Grandy Nook

Grandy Nook is situated on the second floor, with rooftop views of the fells from several rooms and is fully double glazed to provide a peaceful haven.

The bright welcoming kitchen has plenty of worktop and cupboard space for those planning to cook and dine in. It is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and a washing machine. There are beautiful rooftop views looking towards the fells to enjoy from the window.

The living/dining room is the perfect place to gather and socialise. There is plenty of comfortable seating, cosy electric flame effect fire, TV, DVD player with a huge selection of DVD's to choose from, and a lovely prominent feature being the semi circular stone mullioned windows.

There are two bedrooms each made up with luxury linen and towels. The master bedroom has a double bed and single bed plus plenty of drawer and hanging space. The second bedroom has bunk beds, chest of drawers and shelving.

The stunning bathroom is newly refurbished for 2022 with vanity unit, WC, heated towel rail, and drench shower over the bath where you can relax and soak tired muscles after a day exploring the fells!

There are many amenities literally on the doorstep, including numerous traditional pubs serving good food and real ale, a wide variety of restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, Italian and English cuisine and an array of shops. Keswick boasts many visitor attractions, such as the Theatre by the Lake, a Leisure Pool, Museums and a Cinema. The Lake is a 10 minute stroll, with easy walks around or more strenuous walks for the more adventurous on the surrounding fells.

A private allocated parking space is available in the adjacent car park.

The beautiful bathroom has also been newly refurbished for 2022. There is a shower over bath, where walkers can soak tired muscles after a day out on the fells!

The location makes an ideal base for exploring all the area has to offer with walks from the doorstep, and the unique town centre shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants only a stones throw away.
