Midsummer in Keswick
Midsummer is a lovely time to Visit Keswick the days are long with sunset at nearly 10pm and a day length of over 17 hours, with astronomical and nautical twilight lasting all night!
May and June are typically the driest months in The Lake District, it is a great time of year to relax and enjoy the parks and lakes.
Party in the Park
Saturday 22nd June
Location - Fitz Park
Time - 1:30pm - 9pm
Admission - Free
The event begins with a local singer at Cafe HNW, followed by kids entertainer Stu-Di-Doo at Lower Fitz Park.
Take to the dance floor with pop and rock music playing all day.
Keswick Scruffs
Sunday 23rd June
Keswick Scruffs is a fun dog show organised by Keswick Town Council and Podgy Paws Pet Shop.
Location: Lower Fitz Park
You can enter in advance at Podgy Paws or on the day and categories include Best Biscuit Catcher, Smiliest Dog, Best Trick and many more.
Approximately half of the places can be entered before the day at Podgy Paws Pet Shop, Keswick. Pre entry can only be done by going into the shop, unfortunately no entries can be taken over the phone or online.
Cost of entry is £3 per class and this is non-refundable. Your stickers, which are proof of entry into the class on the day, will be ready for you to collect at the registration tent on the morning of Keswick Scruffs.
Entry to the show field is free.
The Lakesman Triathalon (Half for 2024)
Sunday 16th June
The full Triathlon is not running this year.
Bike/Swim, Bike/Run (including Relays) , The Lakesman Half, The Lakesman Half Relay
The Lakesman Half - 1.2 mile swim | 56 mile cycle | 13.1 mile run
The swim takes place in the crystal clear waters of Derwentwater, generally regarded one the Lake Districts most scenic lakes.
The bike route takes you through the Western Lake District so athletes get to experience a side of the lakes often unvisited by tourists.
During the run stage athletes will have the opportunity running through superb countryside with views to the likes of Skiddaw as well as a spectator friendly section through Keswick Rugby Club, which hosts the finish area, registration, prize presentation and merchandise.

Start/Finish: Swinside Inn (CA12 5UE), Newlands Valley
This year we will be heading over Causey Pike, Sail, Crag Hill, Wandope, Whiteless Pike, High Snockrigg, Robinson, Dale Head, High Spy, Maiden Moor.
Family 5 in 5 Challenge
Distance: 12.9 kilometres / 8 miles
The Family 5in5 starts and finishes at the Swinside Inn (CA12 5UE – Newlands Valley), near Keswick. The route is approx. eight miles long and takes in five peaks – Causey Pike (637m), Scar Crags (672m), Outerside (568m), Stile End (447m) and Barrow (455m)
