Last week, The Falls Spa was awarded not one, but two, prestigious awards at the national Professional Beauty Awards.

The awards, now in its 20thyear, are some of the most prestigious and established in the spa industry and aims to recognize “those who make a real difference to the industry” says Professional Beauty. With over 250 entries in to this year’s awards, The Falls Spa was up against some serious contenders.

After a turbulent year, the awards ceremony, which went virtual for the first time ever, brought some much-needed positivity to the spa industry, and awarded The Falls Spa the Best Spa in the Midland and North West as well as Boutique Spa of the Year which covered the entire country.

The Falls Spa put themselves forward for ‘Best Spa in the Midlands and North West’, however the latter of the two awards was a tremendous achievement for the Lake District spa, as the ‘Boutique Spa of the Year’ category was not one in which applicants could apply for. Rather, the finalists in this category were decided by the award judges themselves and selected for outstanding quality.

To win during 2020 is a testament to my team and the hard work that they do day after day, and especially during these unprecedented times where we have seen so much change and we have had to stay positive and hopeful for the future and have adapted well in the circumstances. The Falls Spa at the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel in the Borrowdale valley opened in November 2018 as part of a £13m development which saw a full refurbishment of the ground floor of the hotel, as well as introducing a brand-new pan-Asian restaurant and 18 luxurious spa suites.
