Lake District Hotels illuminate Keswick, Borrowdale and Glenridding by unveiling over £15k worth of spectacular Christmas lights

Family-owned and run hotel group, Lake District Hotels Ltd, has embraced the spirit of the season by investing over £15,000 to enhance the exterior Christmas lights at their six hotels in the northern Lake District.

The continuous investment aims to spread joy and festive cheer, by creating a magical atmosphere in these iconic Lake District hotspots which includes the Inn on the Square, Kings Arms, and Skiddaw Hotel in Keswick; Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa and Borrowdale Hotel in the Borrowdale Valley; and the Inn on the Lake at Glenridding.

Each of the six hotels is annually adorned with an array of upgraded twinkling lights, transforming each of the popular hotels into winter wonderlands. The strategic investment in exterior Christmas lights reflects the Lake District Hotels' dedication to providing a memorable experience for guests and locals alike during the festive season.

The magical transformation is not limited to exterior lighting however, as the hotels spare no effort in turning their interiors into a festive haven also. Every year without fail, hundreds of Christmas trees and decorations are meticulously curated and installed by a single talented Lake District Hotels employee, Tricia Irving, who is based at the group’s head office with a full-time role as a Purchase Ledger.

Tricia Irving's exceptional dedication and festive creativity were recently recognised when she received the 'Going the Extra Mile Award' at the hotels' third annual staff appreciation awards ceremony. This accolade highlights her outstanding efforts in bringing the Christmas spirit to life across all six of the group’s establishments.

As the festive season continues to unfold, all six venues also boast daily offerings of exquisite seasonal dining, including yuletide afternoon teas and a delectable array of seasonal dishes which are available until 2^nd January 2024.
