Calvert Stables to run October Kids Club
Calvert Stables is running a series of Kids Clubs for children aged 12 years and under during the October school holidays.
The two-hour sessions will take place at 10am on Sunday 22 October, 1:30pm on Tuesday 24 October and 1:30 pm on Friday 27 October.
“We’re thrilled to run our ever-popular Kids Clubs during the October school holidays,” said Henri Carew, Stables Manager at Calvert Stables. “As well as riding, children will learn how to take care of their pony’s needs including grooming, tacking up, feeding and first aid.”
It has been a busy few months at Calvert Stables.
Earlier this year, much-loved ride and drive pony Queenie gave birth to bay filly foal Calvert Majestic Star, fondly nicknamed Peggy by stable staff after the Queen’s first pony.
Added Henri:
“Queenie and Peggy are both doing really well.
“Queenie’s back at the stables receiving lots of love and attention while we’ve found a great home for Peggy, her beautiful filly foal.”
