Running alongside the MINT Chinese Film Festival, enjoy a whole series of free complementary events to celebrate Chinese New Year and all things Chinese and Asian.

MINT -  Asian Arts, Craft & Food Market runs in Keswick Market Square from 10am to 3pm: browse and buy arts and crafts, play some games, enjoy some snacks and delectable Asian food (we define Asian very broadly here: we've got Indian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese food represented!)

At 11.30am and 12.30pm you'll be able to see an amazing Lion Dance in the market square, c/o the Lancaster-based Northern Dragons Lion Dance team, sponsored by the Lancaster Confucius Institute.

You can also enjoy at the Methodist Church Hall on Southey Street :

2pm - Chinese music performance

3pm - Chinese tai-chi demonstration
