The Alhambra Cinema is located in St Johns Street just up from the Market Square.
Max Newsom, film director, script writer, producer and film lecturer, continues his series of talks on film masterpieces of the 1920's - 2000's.
Each lecture includes short clips from movies of the era, a short recap of the previous decade's main contributions to the developing form, as well as an outline of the contemporary political and social issues.
After each talk, there will be a short, 15-min break, complementary tea and biscuits, then a presentation of a classic film from the decade disussed.
