Taking place by the Wivell Triangle and War Memorial, Upper Fitz Park
Derwent Valley Band will perform 1940s music on stage and readings will take place.
A parade of standards will take a place along the riverbank to the War Memorial with beacon being lit at 9.15pm.
Scouts will have a small cake stall, Guides will run a tombola, and drinks will be available at Café HNW.
