Join animator Sheryl to create cut out animation inspired by Matisse and contemporary British paper artists.

You will make cut-out characters, use apps to animate them, and add your own voices and sound effects to bring them to life. You can take away any artwork you make during the workshop to continue your filmmaking ideas at home. A copy of your film will be made available after the workshop.

Equipment is provided, but if you want to bring along your own phone or tablet to work with, you can. Make sure you install any apps that you’ll need. Animation apps to check out include iMotion for iPad or iPhone, or Stop Motion Studio or FlipaClip for iPhone, iPad or Android devices.
Sheryl is a North East based animation artist and experienced tutor. Her artistic practice includes moving image content for theatre and television, commercial film work, and community projects
