Paul Rose will be the speaker at the Wainwright Society's 2022 Memorial Lecture.

Paul’s skills and interests as an accomplished diver, mountaineer and explorer led to his role as a documentary presenter. Paul has made frequent expeditions to Antarctica, supporting scientists engaged in research, and for several seasons was base commander at a British Antarctic Survey base.

Paul presented or co-presented the BBC documentary series Voyages of Discovery, Oceans and Britain's Secret Seas. His BBC walking documentaries have included Coastal Path and series on The Lakes and The Pennine Way. 

Paul will join us in celebrating The Wainwright Society in its 20th Anniversary Year. He will share behind-the-scenes stories from his Lake District TV work, his love of Lakes based living and far-flung adventures, and why it has never been more important to have a nature-based life.
