Family Activities at Half Term at Keswick Museum

Saturday 28th May - Storytelling at the Museum - ‘Under the Sea’

Join us on a journey through your imagination on a 30-minute storytelling session where we celebrate all things ‘Under the Sea’ - then a relaxed craft & creation session where you can do activities linked back to the stories you’ve heard. Suitable for children of all ages.

£5 per child, adults go free. Sessions at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, each approximately 1.5 hours. Booking required.

Sunday 29th May - The final Doodle Day!

FREE ACTIVITY when you visit the museum - no need to book! Visit the museum today and join us for a day of doodling - big doodles, small doodles, wiggly doodles or any doodle you like. Although our Durden exhibition is drawing to a close, its legacy lives on as you join us to explore the museum through pencils, pens, chalks and crayons within the exhibition spaces and outside the gallery walls. Suitable for all ages. Museum admission £5 per adult, £3 for children over 5, under 5s free.

Monday 30th May - Messy Museum – the return of the LEGO!

Build, Build, Build! This relaxed and informal session sees you get stuck in with our giant collection of LEGO and Duplo to build to your hearts content. Although this session is aimed at children aged 6 and older a more relaxed Duplo space will be set up for little ones to explore if they are attending with older siblings. £5 per child, adults go free. Sessions at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, each approximately 1.5 hours. Booking required.

Wednesday 1st June - Music Museum - drums & percussion

Let’s get making - at Easter we made our own xylophones and guitars, and this time, it’s your chance to add some percussion into the mix! Join us for a crafty, messy, sticky, NOISY session. Suitable for all ages. £5 per child, adults go free. Sessions at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, each approximately 1.5 hours. Booking required.

Friday 3rd June - Moving Museum – Nature Explorers

Join the museum team to make your nature explorers pack including compass, bug collector, nature scrap book and magnifying glass - then join us for a walk around the beautiful park to explore nature together. Expect to spend around 2 hours at the museum and surrounding areas. Suitable for all ages. £3 per person. 10:30am or 2pm sessions. Booking required.
