This route uses part of the Sea to Sea route taking you around Skiddaw and Blencathra. It runs past Mosedale, and Carrock Fell to meet the Reivers Route at Hesket Newmarket. The route returns over Caldbeck Common to Bassenthwaite village and then back to Keswick.

This route down the Lorton Valley and along the River Cocker takes you to Loweswater, a delightful picnic spot and with an optional short cut back from Ullock, saving 8 miles.

The C2C Cycle Route is a wonderful route through the Northern Lake District and over the Pennines, beginning on the Cumbria coast at Whitehaven or Workington and finishing in Sunderland or Newcastle on the East Coast.
